I have no money right now but my wish list is long.
That’s okay though.
Circling toys in the Sears catalogue was the best part of Christmas as a kid. And now I’ve got my Amazon Wish List Button to virtually grab things from all over the internet. My list is growing before my birthday in March, but I don’t think anyone else looks at it.
Top of my wish list, but I’m unlikely to get, is this lion necklace by Momacreatura. I almost always wear a few long tarnished silver chains with charms.
One of my favourite things is wacky lions.
I love how the lions are represented in ways that relate more to the archetype than the actual animal. Most of the artists haven’t seen a real lion; they are imagining the qualities of a lion mapped on to a house cat.
I’ve long been a fan of Momocreatura.
She says her jewellery
explores the boundaries between reality and fantasy through the depiction of fairy-tale inspired images. They are more like 3D illustration or wearable miniature sculptures.
I don’t own any of her pieces but I sure would like to.
